Our Community

Havelock has many wonderful supporters. Both individuals and companies help with tasks to keep the centre running efficiently. See more below

Havelock Community Centre would not be possible without the incredible support of local businesses and organisations. From building and maintenance work, to generous donations of funds, hygiene products, materials, time and expertise, our supporters play a vital role in keeping the centre running and welcoming for everyone. While we have highlighted some of our key partners here, we are deeply grateful to the many other companies and individuals who continue to support Havelock in so many ways. Your kindness, commitment and community spirit make a real difference - thank you for helping us support our community.

We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to CBS for their ongoing support of our community centre. Their work has helped us maintain and improve a welcoming, safe space for everyone who uses the building, from day-to-day essentials like fixing toilets to completing larger projects funded by the National Lottery, including the new astro turf and the new hall floor.

Everything has been completed to a high standard, and their friendly team and clear communication have made a real difference throughout. Their support helps ensure our centre remains a positive, accessible space for local people and we are very grateful for the part they play in supporting our community.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Neil and his team at Great Western Railway for their incredible support of our community and the wide range of activities they help make possible.

From donating hygiene products and becoming a collection point for The Hygiene Bank Portsmouth, to supporting our events and groups with Easter eggs, prizes and gifts, their involvement has made a real difference. They have also helped bring special moments to life for local families, including welcoming Father Christmas to our Christmas Market and supporting our free Stay and Play sessions.

We are also proud to support Great Western Railway’s Bra Bank collections by acting as a local drop-off point. Their continued generosity, enthusiasm and community spirit have had a meaningful impact on the people who use our centre, and we are extremely grateful for their ongoing support.

A huge thank you to Gemma from Tesco for the ongoing support of our community centre. This has included supporting the setup of our free children’s Stay and Play sessions, funded through a £5,000 Tesco Stronger Starts grant, which has helped create a welcoming space for families in our community.

We’re also very grateful for Tesco’s donations to Hygiene Bank Portsmouth, as well as support with other practical items such as kettles for the centre and raffle prizes for our community events. All of this support helps us respond to local needs and bring people together, and we truly appreciate the continued generosity and commitment shown.
